PE

IMG 2278

Throughout the school, children are encouraged to participate in a range of inclusive extension activities. From Year 3 upwards, children can also try for places in school teams and take part in fixtures and tournaments against other London schools, as well as in cross country and swimming galas.

We strives to give every KS2 child, who would like to play sport competitively, the opportunity to compete either against other schools, or in Inter-House competitions.

Pupils will take part in a wide selection of sports:

  • Athletics
  • Dance
  • Gymnastics
  • Tennis
  • Basketball
  • Rounders
  • Tag Rugby
  • Swimming
  • Football
  • Cricket
  • Handball

Children in Year 5 have the opportunity visit Sayers Croft every summer to take part in Outdoor and Adventurous Activity Challenges.

Sports Premium Funding

The primary PE and sport premium was introduced in March 2013 to improve the provision of physical education and school sport in primary schools across England. The £150 million per year funding is provided jointly by the Departments for Education, Health, and Culture, Media and Sport. The funding is allocated directly to primary schools.
