SMSC
At St Mary Magdalene & St Stephen's CE Primary School we endeavour to ensure that childrens' moral, spiritual and cultural needs are catered for in the best possible way.
We do this in a number of ways, and are constantly striving to improve in this area.
Understanding the consequences of their actions and a willingness to reflect on their experiences.
Pupils' social development is shown by their interest in, and understanding of, the way communities and societies function at a variety of levels.
Willingness to participate in a variety of social settings, cooperating well with others, being able to resolve conflicts effectively and their use of a range of social skills in different contexts, including working and socialising with pupils from different religious, ethnic and socio-economic backgrounds.
Pupils' cultural development is shown by their willingness to participate in, and respond to, artistic, musical, sporting, mathematical, technological, scientific and cultural opportunities, interest in exploring, understanding of, and respect for cultural diversity and understanding and appreciation of a wide range of cultural influences which have shaped their own and others' cultural heritages.
